Band Brutal/Teknikal Deathmetal asak Carolina Selatan-Amerika didirikan tahun 1993 dan diprakarsai oleh Karl Shanders pada Gitar/Vokal,Chief Spires pada Bass/Vokal,dan Pete Hammoura pada Drum,lirik lagu Nile banyak bertemakan tentang peradaban Mesir Kuno,ukiran candi,lukisan yang menggambarkan pertempuran pada makam kuno,ritual,dan upacara keagamaan.Nada-nada yang dimainkan juga bertemakan Timur tengah.band deathmetal Nile dikatakan sebagai " penyelamat musik Deathmetal ,ditulis dimajalah Kerrang ",lagu Demo pertama kali direlease tahun 1994 yang diberi titel " Nile " seperti nama band mereka,pada 1997 kesempatan untuk melebarkan sayappun terbuka setelah mereka digandeng Relapse Records dan Album perdana " Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren Ka " diluncurkan,
pujianpun berdatangan setelah album direlease banyak yang mengatakan bahwa band ini membawa harapan baru bagi grup-grup band deathmetal lainnya pada millenium baru.Tour dunia untuk mendampingi Morbid Angel pun dimulai yang menghabiskan waktu selama 18 bulan,dan pada 2000 mereka kembali merilis album yang diberi judul " Black seed of Vengeance ",album ini menggempur dengan ayat-ayat kekerasan, dampak dari album ini begitu terasa bagi penggemar musik Death Metal,berkat kerja keras mereka dalam menyusun materi lagu-lagu yang ada dalam album ini,Nile di nobatkankan sebagai " Album of the Years " versi majalah Terrorizer
