Arsis (USA)

Arsis merupakan band dengan genre Technical/Melodic Death Metal yang bermarkas di Virginia - Amerika,band ini didirikan pada 2000,diawali oleh pertemuan antara James Malone dan Michael van Dynn pada sebuah acara musik di Boston,James Malone adalah seorang Komposer band,penyanyi,penulis lagu,sekaligus pemain gitar.Sedangkan Michael van Dynn seorang pemain Drum tetapi masih menempa Ilmu Pendidikan di bidang Medis,demo pertama mereka yang berisi delapan lagu dibuat pada 2002,dua tahun kemudian band menandatangani kontrak dengan Willowtip Records untuk mengeluarkan Full Album " A Celebration of Guilt ". Permainan musik mereka banyak dipengaruhi oleh band-band lawas : King Diamond, Iron Maiden,Death,Dimmu Borgir,Dissection,dan Morbid Angel.Reformasi personil sering terjadi di band ini,salah satunya Gitaris Ryan Knight pada 2008 menyatakan keluar dari grup karena ingin bergabung dengan band The Black Dahlia Murder,atau Martin Noah yang mengundurkan diri karena ingin menyelesaikan Gelar Sarjananya.
